巨龍の背に乗りながら、ル・オンは祭りの終わりを惜しんでいた。千年に一度、否、此度の祭りは七千年に一度とも言うべき盛大なものであった。ゆえに「収穫物」も多い。ル・オンは巨龍の背に乗せた「荷物」に目をやり、その顔にはおよそ似つかわしく無い悪意に満ちた笑みを浮かべる。鼻唄混じりに「種」を蒔きつつ、ル・オンは月の方角へ、即ち次の遊び場たる「世界樹」目指し、流星の降る空を征く。

The harvest had been the biggest he had seen in 1,000—no, 7,000 years. As Lu-Wonne flew through the comet-filled sky to the World Tree on the back of a giant dragon, he turned to his cargo with an evil grin and began to plant his seeds.

[幻噐神]グリモア [Illusion Weapon God] Grimoire

グリモアの負ったその傷こそ、四の「噐神」の全てを含み、生まれて始めて刻まれたものであった。敵が或いは「霊神」か、それとも同種の類いであれば理解し難い事も無い。しかし今、グリモアたちが対峙するのは紛う事無き「人」であり、ゆえに主の言葉通りに、この者たちへの認識を改めざるを得なかった。そしてその、東の大地の果ての塔にてグリモアは、己に痕を刻みし者へと無感情なる眼を向ける。果たして対するその者は、邪竜を宿し魔眼にて、討ち倒すべき敵を見据えた。

Grimoire had been wounded, and not by the Elemental Gods or some equivalent, but a mere human. Having never been wounded before, the Four Weapons had to reassess their foe, just as their master had ordered. Grimoire stared without emotion at the tower deep inside the Eastern Realm where her foe stood, staring back at her with the Evil Eye that contained the powers of the Dark Dragon.

元より「噐」のアルコたちに、心も慈悲もありはしない。在るのは主が其れらに容れた、手段と、或いは目的のみ。ゆえに小さき者たちの勇猛果敢な抵抗も、加勢の男と神竜も、それらを率いし姫騎士も、まさに児戯が如くに斬って、貫き、射て、喰らい、その略奪は行われた。そして、やがて一つの「封印」が解かれ、東の大地は閉ざされる。主たちは、遥かな高みで歪に笑い、心も慈悲も持たぬアルコは、己が果たした戦禍のみを、ただいつまでも眺めていた。

Arco and his siblings did not have hearts. Their creator had given them only one purpose. And so, faced with the resistance of the little ones, the dragon rider who aided them, and the princess who led them, they cut, shattered, pierced, and corroded until they had conquered the land. The seal had been broken, and the Eastern Realm had become closed off. Somewhere high above, their masters laughed coldly.

親とはただの親であり、その子にとっての主ではない。暗く冷たい石床の牢。そこで延々、鋼を打つ音が闇に響く。或いは彼女が腕を振るうたび彼女の腕と足を縛る、鎖が床を打つ音が響く。彼女はかつて鍛冶師であり、かの「聖剣」すら凌駕する四つの「神噐」を造り上げた。それは世界を拓く四の希望。その完成こそ彼女の生で、最も輝かしき瞬間。スパーダは思う。今、虚ろな眼で鉄片を、不毛に石で打ち続ける壊れ廃れたこの女は、その輝かしき瞬間に果たして何を想ったのか、と。

On the stone floor of the cold. Dark cell sat the girl as she tattooed a steady rhythm of stone hitting metal, the chains around her arms and legs rattling against the floor like an accompaniment. She had once been a smith who created the Four Weapons that saved the world, but now her eyes were forlorn and her soul completely broken. What had she felt when she created him, Spada wondered.

A servant who made a contract with Idea in the distant past. Training magicians to serve her in the Holy Land, she spends her days trying to keep up with Idea's demands. She’s not bothered by Idea’s plans, she just wants to complete her contract.

その昔、「クトゥール」なる妖精と契約を結び、自我を奪われこの世を恐怖の底へと落とし入れたヴェルベット。イデアによってその身体からクトゥールを引き抜かれた際、彼女の魂の一部も同時に引き剥がれ、本来の力と記憶を失っていた。しかし今なぜかその記憶が戻りつつある。

Velvet formed a contract with the fairy Qthulu, completely losing control of herself. When Idea finally removed Qthulu from her body, part of Velvet's soul was also removed, taking her powers and memories with it. They are just now coming back.

Velvet couldn’t believe her eyes. All the magicians in the Holy Land were being possessed by the Glutton Queen’s soul. Strange, cat-like laughter rang out, and she awoke. It was nothing but a nightmare, but that feline laugh still echoed.

[白夢王]ヴェルベット [White Dream] Velvet

堕ちた後も、ヴェルベットは生き長らえていた。イデアの機転、或いは暴挙によって、ほとんど全ての悪食王は滅んだが、それらを生み出し先導した、軍師ローレッタ、つまり現悪食王はまだ生きている。そして量産された悪食王も、その幾人かは生き延び下界に潜伏した。ヴェルベットの主たるイデアは死んだが、しかし、契約はまだ終わってはいない。

The Holy Land fell. Idea’s bold wits almost killed the Glutton Queen, but she and Tactician Lauretta (their creator) lived. Mass-produced Glutton Queens escaped to the land below. Her mistress Idea was dead, but Velvet lived on to finish their contract.

時は闇の時代へと移り変わろうとしていた。千年ごとに巡ってくる人と竜との戦争の裏側で、ヴェルベットは悪食王との戦いを、一人孤独に続けていた。これまでに量産式悪食王を62体程討伐したものの、いまだ一度も本体へは辿り着いていない。よもや、何処かで朽ち果てたかとも考え始めていた頃、彼女は或る噂を耳にする。それは「悪食竜」なる竜を喰らう竜の噂であった。

The age was growing dark. The human/dragon conflict cycle continued and Velvet fought against the Glutton Queen. Killing 62 copies, she had yet to find their creator. She almost thought her dead until she heard strange rumors of a dragon eating dragon, the Devourer Dragon.

「教国」なる地が堕ちてから先、数千年の永き刻を、彼女は一人歩んできた。道中至る、量産された悪意の首を、あるいは瞳を、あるいは胃の腑を、落とし、貫き、開きながら。ゆえに浴びた血も少なくは無く、やがてその身は汚れゆく。しかしたとえ最後にその手で潰すが、己の心の臓であったとしても、後を歩む者たちへと、彼女はそれでも道を繋ぐ。

Holy Land fell from thousands of years later, she walked. She has removed the mass-produced Glutton Queen's head, eyes and stomach. Her body got wet with blood of the victim. Even if her heart is crushed with its hand, she walks the way to the persons who walk later.

深く、暗い地の底。その牢獄には、あらゆる罪人、或いは咎を背負いし者たちが囚われ、生かされ続けていた。そして牢獄の、更に深きの最たる下層。光も届かぬ闇の底に彼は居る。彼は、自身が投獄された理由を知らない。聞いても誰も答える者無く、そもそも既に何百年も、誰とも話してすらいない。だが無論、それはさしたる問題では無い。肝心なのは「肌」である。その荒れが、彼の我慢の限界をついに越えた。即ち張りを取り戻すべく、一世一代の脱獄は始まった。

In the abyss, Sinners kept being put in the jail. But he's in the deepest underlayer in a jail. He doesn't know the reason why was jailed. He's talking with no one for hundreds of years. He has begun to escape from jail finally to recover the fresh "skin".

脱獄の道、其れは果てしなく険しいものであった。うなりを上げるその豪腕が牢を、或いはその万人を軒並み捻り飛ばしていく。彼が通ったその跡は嵐が舞ったが如くであった。と、飛来する、目尻を僅かにかすめる矢。薄く流れる頬の紅血。果たしてそれが彼の乙女心に火を付けた。即ち怒号、或いは粉砕、或いは穿孔、或いは悲鳴。全てはその肌、その張りの為。乙女の命を傷ものにすれば神であろうと赦されはしない。そうして数多の叫喚を殴り飛ばし、ついに最上層へと彼は至った。
