[犠王]ニア [Sacrifice Queen] Nia
古くからの風習が残る、或る砂漠の国にニアは生まれた。国では数年に一度、古来よりその地の守り神とされる老龍に、生贄として妙齢の娘を献上し続けていた。そして999人目の生けにえとして選ばれたのがニアだった。竜を恐れて逃げ出さぬよう、ニアの視力は毒薬によって奪われるも、彼女は気丈に振る舞い続ける。そしてついに其の日、彼女は従者に連れられ竜の待つ「王の遺跡」へと旅立っていった。
There is a desert nation that sacrifices a young girl once very few years to their protector, an elderly dragon. Nia is the 999th sacrifice. She is blinded with poison so she will not fear the sight of the dragon, and taken to the Royal Tomb.

[捧王]ニア [Offering Queen] Nia
ニアは、一人の岸と共に嵐で荒れる砂漠を越えていた。視力を失った彼女には険しい道のりであるが、それでも彼女は堪え、歩みをすすめる。聞けば、その騎士は一人、ドラゴンを倒す旅を続けているという。目的は決して語らぬが、どこか悲しそうな響きを持つ騎士の声をニアは放っておけず、恩を返すまで共に旅することを決めた。盲目の少女は、しかし騎士の心の光を信じ、また一歩、険しい砂漠の砂を踏む。
Nia now walks the desert with a knight who is on a quest to slay dragons. He does not say why, but there is a sadness in his voice Nia cannot abandon. She has decided to escort him to return his favor, believing in the light she sees in his heart.
